Thank you for everything, the food was fantastic and the cabins and view amazing.

Really enjoyed the horseback riding, the trail was great and very responsive well trained horses.

Alberta Guest Ranch

Two bright and cozy cabins offer accommodation for up to ten guests in four rooms; "Moose", "Bear", "Eagle" and "Wolf". All rooms have the same layout and offer the same amenities.

The cabins are located next to the ranch house on a ridge with a gorgeous view over the west country to the Rocky Mountains in a distance. Sit back on the porch and enjoy the peaceful and quiet surroundings.

Each cabin offers two separate sides; each side offers: One queen size bed, one twin size bed, table and chairs, small fridge, tea/coffee maker and an ensuite bathroom with tub.

The rooms feature hardwood floor, pine furniture, and beautiful log beds made by Hans. The cabins are comfortably heated by hot air furnace for those chilly spring or fall nights.

The rooms are available for single occupancy, double occupancy or for a family of three. For a family of four, two rooms will be available.

Breakfast:   A full breakfast is served in the ranch house. Sit with the host family and the other guests at the long pine table and enjoy a variety of  tasty breakfast dishes during your ranch vacation stay. Each morning Kathy surprises you with yet another homemade hot dish. Her "Old Style Cowboy Pancakes" or fresh baked, "Kathy's Sweet Buns" or the delicious "Egg Soufflé" are just some of guests' favourites.

Lunch:   A lunch bag packed into a handy soft cooler is ready around noon for the guests to be taken to the cabin, to nearby lake, to an afternoon trip towards the Rocky Mountains etc. Lunch includes sandwiches, water or ice tea, chips or crackers, fruit or veggie and cookies.  In spring and fall some rides are comfortable lunch rides and Hans and Kathy pack sandwiches or wieners into the saddle bags.

Dinner:  Cowboy-Canadian and European specialties are enjoyed by all guests and the host family at the ranch house's long pine table. Kathy serves wonderful hearty yet light and healthy meals featuring ranch raised natural Texas Longhorn beef as well as bison meat, salmon and chicken along with vegetables and salads. Each meal is rounded up by a light home-baked desert and coffee or hot tea.

Special requests:  Kathy can easily cook for any type of diet requested.  Food Allergies, vegetarian, low fat diets, homeopathic diets , beef-free etc. can be accommodated. Guests just have to let Kathy know before arrival, usually by the time of booking with exact information.   

Youths sometimes have different tastes than adults; which your hosts Kathy and Hans understand having two children of their own. Let Kathy know in advance about bigger requests. About the little things Kathy will ask you every day.
